My First Post
Hi it’s me Mikayla. This is my first blog ever! I have so many things to write about. I just finished a new painting that I did for my sister Shayna. It’s a cat and I will upload a photo of it soon so be sure to check my Portfolio link to see my latest creations.
Speaking of creations I was wanting to really help out at a local dog shelter. Unfortunately you have to be over 18. I’m almost 12 but that is not old enough to volunteer at a shelter or even the Pet shops. I was feeling pretty down about that. Mom asked a friend that has helped many dogs what I could do and she came up with some great ideas like fundraising for a charity of my choice. Since I have a special love for those cute little Pugs I decided a Pug rescue will be my charity of choice.
I love painting so mom suggested maybe I paint some pictures to sell. Then while I was doing that I had used a strip of water color paper to test my colors and mom came up with the idea of making bookmarks to sell. My sister Shayna wanted to help as did my mom. We created all together 10 bookmarks. I will post some photos of them soon. I’m excited to start selling them. I will paint a few more tomorrow since I have no school due to a holiday yay!!!! I can’t wait to sell my bookmarks. I hope people will buy them.
